Movement Analysis LaboratoryMoving is a complicated task for our bodies. In order to perform this task, the body has to find solutions to dynamic equilibrium problems each instant, using the nervous system, the muscles and the bones. Any alteration to these systems, whether due to disease or age-related, can restrict the individual’s movement to some extent and impact mobility. This direct relationship can be measured and thus used by the medical staff. The information can be crucial when determining the best therapy option. It is for this very reason that our Neuromotor and Functional Analysis Laboratory (NFAL) can provide functional assessments for each and every part and joint of the body and can thus:
Using extremely sophisticated diagnostic tools and/or treatments, such as the Movement Analysis Laboratory, each activity is designed to meet the individual needs of each guest. Thus we are able to safely and rationally manage the complex and intensive rehabilitation exercises spread out over the course of the day, and and ultimately speed up the healing process. In addition to the kinematic, dynamic and electromyographic assessment of each movement, the MAL also uses other techniques, the most important being: OPTOELECTRONIC PLETHYSMOGRAPHY (OEP). This is the most innovative technology for evaluating >lung ventilation and breathing. |
